InvoiceNow transition grant — S$1,000 for Singapore SMEs

The Singapore government offers up to S$1,000 per company to help SMEs transition to InvoiceNow. The grant is administered through the Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG) and is meant to offset the cost of adopting an InvoiceNow-ready accounting solution.

This is a one-time grant — apply while it is available, and before you reach your mandatory date.

What the grant covers

The grant offsets costs of adopting a PSG-approved InvoiceNow-ready solution. This can include:

  • Subscription fees for InvoiceNow-ready accounting software
  • Onboarding and setup costs
  • Peppol network registration through the provider

The grant does not cover hardware, general IT infrastructure, or solutions that are not on the PSG pre-approved list.

Eligibility

The PSG InvoiceNow grant is open to Singapore-registered businesses that meet the standard PSG criteria:

Registered and operating in Singapore (UEN)
200 or fewer employees or annual turnover ≤ S$100 million
At least 30% local shareholding
Adopting a PSG pre-approved InvoiceNow-ready solution

Eligibility criteria are set by Enterprise Singapore. Verify the latest requirements on the Business Grants Portal.

How to apply — step by step

  1. 1
Choose an approved solution. The PSG list on the Business Grants Portal shows which InvoiceNow-ready solutions are eligible. Pick one that fits your business needs.
  2. 2
Get a quotation from the vendor. You need the vendor's quote to submit with your grant application. This should detail the solution, pricing, and implementation timeline.
  3. 3
Submit your application on the Business Grants Portal. Log in with CorpPass, select the PSG grant category for InvoiceNow, attach your quotation and supporting documents. Processing typically takes 4–6 weeks.
  4. 4
Receive your Letter of Offer and adopt the solution. Once approved, proceed with implementation. You must adopt the solution within the timeline specified in the Letter of Offer.
  5. 5
Submit your claim. After implementation, submit your claim with proof of payment on the Business Grants Portal. The grant is disbursed after verification.

Timing matters

The InvoiceNow transition grant is available while funds last. As the mandatory dates roll out (starting 1 April 2026 for new voluntary GST registrants), demand will increase. Applying early gives you the best chance of approval and avoids the rush.

The grant application can take 4–6 weeks to process. Factor this into your InvoiceNow onboarding timeline — don't wait until the month before your mandatory date.

More than just InvoiceNow

Many PSG-approved InvoiceNow-ready solutions include broader accounting and business management features. If you are choosing a solution anyway, consider one that also handles your GST F5 returns, CPF payroll, and IRAS submissions — so the grant offsets the cost of a more complete system, not just e-invoicing.

Critical Mass Cloud

Critical Mass Cloud has InvoiceNow support built in, alongside accounting, CPF payroll, GST F5 filing, IRAS AIS submissions, and e-signatures — a single system that covers InvoiceNow and the broader compliance requirements it connects to.
